Job Title: Contract Grant Writer

Overview:
GiGi's Playhouse Tampa is a vibrant non-profit organization dedicated to nurturing creativity, play, and community engagement. We are seeking an experienced Contract Grant Writer to join our team on a contract basis. This role is pivotal in helping us secure the funding necessary to advance our mission and expand our impact within the Tampa community
Key Responsibilities:
- Grant Proposal Development:
- Research, identify, and prioritize potential funding opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies.
- Develop compelling, well-structured grant proposals that clearly articulate our mission, programs, and funding needs.
- Tailor proposals to meet the specific requirements and guidelines of each funding source.
- Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work closely with program staff, leadership, and the development team to gather relevant data, program outcomes, and success stories.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure the alignment of proposals with organizational strategies and goals.
- Project Management:
- Manage multiple grant applications simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines are met and submissions are accurate and complete.
- Maintain organized records of proposals, correspondence, and reporting requirements.
- Post-Award Activities:
- Assist with the development of grant reports and other follow-up documentation as required by funders.
- Monitor awarded grants for compliance and ensure timely and accurate reporting to funding agencies. Proven experience in grant writing for non-profit organizations, with a portfolio of successful grant proposals.
- Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
- Strong research skills, including the ability to identify funding sources and analyze guidelines for grant opportunities.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with budgeting and financial reporting related to grant applications is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Administration, or a related field; advanced degrees or specialized training in grant writing are advantageousContract Details:
